Affiliate Programme Terms

1. Joining the Programme

Participation in the Programme is subject to approval by Stories Mapped.

We may accept or decline applications at our discretion. Participation is non-exclusive, and you are free to promote other businesses and products.

Once approved, you will receive a unique referral link for use when promoting Stories Mapped.

2. Referral links and customer discounts

Your unique referral link may provide customers with a discount on eligible Stories Mapped products.

The discount applicable to your referral link will be agreed with you when you join the Programme and may vary between partners.

Where a discount is offered, it will normally be applied automatically when a customer follows your referral link. Customers do not need to enter a promotional code unless otherwise stated.

Affiliate discounts cannot be combined with other offers or promotional discounts unless Stories Mapped expressly states otherwise.

3. Affiliate commission

You will earn commission on eligible purchases successfully attributed to your referral link.

Your commission rate will be agreed with you when you join the Programme and may vary between partners.

Commission is calculated as a percentage of the final discounted sale value paid by the customer.

Stories Mapped product prices are all-inclusive, including delivery where applicable. We do not separately deduct our printing, framing, fulfilment or delivery costs when calculating affiliate commission.

For example, if a £100 product receives a 10% customer discount, the customer pays £90. At a 5% affiliate commission rate, the commission earned would be £4.50.

The commission rate applicable when an eligible order is placed will be recorded against that order. Any later change to your commission rate will not retrospectively alter commission already earned.

4. Attribution and tracking

Stories Mapped uses referral tracking to identify purchases generated through affiliate links.

Our standard attribution period is 30 days, unless a different period has been agreed with you.

Where a customer follows referral links from more than one Stories Mapped affiliate, the most recent valid affiliate referral will normally receive attribution.

Referral tracking may depend on cookies, customer consent choices, browser settings and other technical factors. We cannot guarantee that every purchase following an affiliate referral will be successfully attributed.

Commission is payable only on purchases successfully recorded by our systems as attributable to your affiliate account.

Where technically possible, customers may still receive an affiliate offer during their current visit even where they have not consented to persistent affiliate tracking. However, attribution may not persist across subsequent visits.

We will not use fingerprinting or similar techniques to circumvent a customer's privacy choices for the purpose of affiliate attribution.

5. Eligible orders

Commission is earned only on genuine, completed and successfully paid orders attributed to your affiliate account.

Commission is not payable on:

• cancelled orders
• fraudulent or suspicious transactions
• orders for which payment is reversed or charged back
• refunded amounts
• self-referrals or purchases made primarily for the purpose of generating commission
• transactions that otherwise breach these terms

Where an order is partially refunded, the associated commission may be reduced proportionately.

6. Commission approval and payment

New commissions will initially be recorded as pending.

Stories Mapped will review pending commissions before approving them for payment. This allows cancellations, refunds, payment disputes and other necessary adjustments to be identified.

Approved commission will normally be paid monthly.

There is currently no minimum payout threshold. Approved commission will therefore be eligible for the next monthly payment regardless of the amount earned.

Payments will be made using a payment method agreed between Stories Mapped and the affiliate.

Stories Mapped may introduce a reasonable minimum payout threshold in the future where necessary for the efficient administration of the Programme. Any such change will be communicated to participating affiliates in advance and will not result in the forfeiture of commission already earned.

Affiliates are responsible for providing accurate payment information and for their own tax, accounting and reporting obligations arising from payments received through the Programme.

7. Refunds after commission has been paid

If an order is refunded, reversed or charged back after the associated commission has already been paid, Stories Mapped may deduct the corresponding commission from future affiliate earnings.

Where there are insufficient future earnings, we may agree another reasonable method of correcting the balance.

8. Promoting Stories Mapped

We want affiliates to be able to talk about Stories Mapped naturally and in their own voice.

You may use approved Stories Mapped logos, product images and promotional materials supplied to you for the purpose of promoting Stories Mapped.

When describing Stories Mapped, you must represent our products, pricing, discounts and services accurately.

You must not:

• make false or misleading claims about Stories Mapped
• imply an endorsement, partnership or association with an airline, airport, travel company or other organisation where none exists
• impersonate Stories Mapped
• present your own website, page or social-media account as an official Stories Mapped channel
• use unsolicited bulk messaging or spam to promote your referral link
• use misleading, deceptive or unlawful advertising methods
• promote Stories Mapped in content that is unlawful or which we reasonably consider likely to cause serious harm to our reputation

Paid search advertising using the Stories Mapped name, trademarks or close variations is not permitted without our prior written agreement.

9. Affiliate disclosure

Affiliate relationships must be clearly disclosed wherever required by applicable advertising and consumer-protection rules.

Affiliates should ensure that promotional content and affiliate links are appropriately identified as advertising or affiliate content where required by the rules applicable to them and their audience.

UK affiliates should ensure their affiliate marketing complies with applicable ASA and CAP requirements.

It is the affiliate's responsibility to ensure their promotional activity complies with applicable laws, regulations and advertising standards.

10. Intellectual property

Stories Mapped retains ownership of its name, logos, artwork, website content and other intellectual property.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive and revocable right to use approved Stories Mapped marketing materials solely for the purpose of participating in the Programme.

You may not materially alter our branding or use our intellectual property for another purpose without our permission.

11. Changes to discounts and commission rates

Stories Mapped may change aspects of the Programme, including available customer discounts, commission rates, attribution periods and payment arrangements.

Where a change affects an existing affiliate, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.

Changes will apply prospectively and will not reduce commission already validly earned under the rate applicable when the relevant order was placed.

12. Ending participation

Either you or Stories Mapped may end your participation in the Programme at any time.

We may suspend or terminate participation immediately where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, abuse, misleading advertising or another serious breach of these terms.

Following termination, valid commission earned before termination will remain payable in accordance with these terms, subject to refunds, chargebacks and other legitimate adjustments.

Your referral link and any associated customer discount may cease to operate when your participation ends.

13. Relationship between us

Participation in the Programme does not create an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, agency or franchise between you and Stories Mapped.

You participate as an independent affiliate and are responsible for your own business activities and obligations.

You do not have authority to enter into agreements or make commitments on behalf of Stories Mapped.

14. Programme availability

We aim to operate the Programme and referral tracking reliably but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of our website, tracking systems or other technical services.

Stories Mapped will not be responsible for affiliate commission that cannot reasonably be attributed because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, including customer consent choices, browser restrictions, deleted cookies, ad-blocking technology or other technical failures.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Affiliate Programme Terms from time to time.

Where a material change affects existing affiliates, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.

Changes to these terms will not retrospectively remove commission that was validly earned before the change took effect.

16. Governing law

These terms and participation in the Programme are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction over disputes arising in connection with the Programme, subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
